Pets and their People Opening Night

It is said that a dog is a man’s best friend, but in truth it is animals that our people’s best friends. I personal can’t recall one person that I know who has not had a connection, at some point in their life, with a pet no matter what their species.

Americans have invited animals into their family as pets for many generations; and as each generation passes, their places within the family has becomes more and more important. Yesterday Fido might have slept in front of the fire, but today Max sleeps in the bed.

This connection between pets and their people is explored through different artists’ interpretations at The Chartreuse Muse gallery this March. The show is titled, quite appropriately, “Pets and Their People” and will run until the end of May. This show features the talents of Suzanne Staud, Suzanne Noll, Sandra Veneman, and William Harris. The students of The Chartreuse Muse art school will also be displaying their own connection with their pets in the classroom gallery running the month of April.

Special Event: The Chartreuse Muse and the Human Society will help find some new connections for a few pets while hosting a pet adoption at the gallery on Saturday, April 17, 12-3pm. For more information please visit us at www.TheChartreuseMuse.Com.
